Edit the Social Media Files in a StreamSpell Package

Install the included fonts and edit the Photoshop social media files with your own usernames and icons.

Before you start

StreamSpell packages are loaded with social media assets like headers, icons, and more, featuring placeholders like "username" and "your name". Here's how you can personalize these elements: Editing with PSD files: Each package includes PSD files for self-service editing using Adobe Photoshop. Follow the steps below to do it yourself:

  1. Install Fonts

    • Inside your package, find the “Fonts” folder containing the fonts used in the design.
    • Click on the font files to install them. If they are zipped, unzip before installing.
  2. Locate the PSD File

    • Locate the PSD file, usually named “Edit” or after the package itself.
    • Click to open the PSD file, Adobe Photoshop is recommended for editing.
  3. Explore Layers

    • On the right, you’ll find layers representing different elements like Overlays, Alerts, and Social Media assets.
    • Click on the Social Media group to reveal all assets. Hide other groups for a clearer view.
  4. Choose Asset to Edit

    • Click on a folder within the Social Media group, find the text layer, and select the “Text” tool on the left side of Photoshop.
  5. Edit Text

    • Replace the placeholder text with your username or name. Click on the checkmark symbol ( √ ) on the upper right side to save your edits.
  6. Save File

    • Go to File > Export > Save to Web, a reliable method for saving files.
    • In the pop-up window, ensure PNG format is selected for transparency. Maintain file sizes to avoid distortion or pixelation.
  7. Final Save

    • Click “Save”, choose your desired location to save the file.Repeat these steps for each asset you wish to edit. Now, you're ready to use these personalized assets on your social media platforms.
