How to Install Stream Deck Icons, Profiles & Screensavers

How to Install Stream Deck Icons, Profiles & Screensavers

Learn the fastest way to install Stream Deck icon packs, profiles, and screensavers, avoid common errors, and upgrade your setup with premium designs. This guide includes direct references to our Stream Deck Profiles & Icon Packs, Elgato, and the Elgato Marketplace.

Quick Overview

  • Icon Packs → Double-click the .streamDeckIconPack file to add icons to your Icon Library.
  • Profiles → Import via Profiles → Import… in the Stream Deck app or double-click the .streamDeckProfile file.
  • Screensavers → Add animated GIFs or static images through the Stream Deck settings to appear during Sleep Mode.
  • Important → Install required plugins before importing a profile so actions load correctly.

Stream Deck Icon Packs vs. Stream Deck Profiles

  • Stream Deck Icon Packs are collections of images that customize the look of your keys without changing what they do. Example: N2 Neon Stream Deck Icon Pack and MARVELOOSE! Stream Deck Icons.
  • Stream Deck Profiles are pre-configured layouts that assign actions to keys. They often include custom icons too. Example: Emotecraft — World of Warcraft Emote Profile.

In short:

  • Icon Packs = Change how your keys look
  • Profiles = Change what your keys do (and often how they look too)
