Los Santos is about to feel alive in a new way. The nopixel V closed beta begins on September 8, 2026, giving invited players access through the Rockstar Games Launcher and giving everyone else a fresh season of GTA roleplay to watch across livestreaming platforms.

This is still Grand Theft Auto V roleplay, not GTA VI. The V in nopixel V marks the next version of the roleplay experience, with familiar characters returning, new personalities arriving and more room for player driven stories to unfold.

When does nopixel V begin?

The closed beta begins September 8, 2026. Rockstar has not listed an exact start time, so the safest plan is to watch your favorite GTA RP creators and check the official announcement for any last minute timing updates.

What is new in nopixel V?

The new release gives roleplayers a rebuilt character customization system, refreshed visuals and more ways to earn a living on either side of the law. Los Santos also gains new and reworked locations, including the Pixel Hotel & Casino and a six block revamp of Cypress Flats.

Smarter, more reactive pedestrians should make the city feel less like a backdrop and more like part of every scene. For viewers, that means more opportunities for spontaneous comedy, tense police work, criminal schemes and long running character arcs.

Twitch Drops run from September 8 to September 30

Watching eligible nopixel V streams on Twitch between September 8 and September 30 can unlock up to GTA$1,500,000 and the Burger Shot Tracksuit in GTA Online. The reward window gives creators more than one launch day to build themed streams, community watch sessions and GTA Online follow ups around the event.
