Set Up SpellChat in OBS Studio

Create a SpellChat widget theme, customize it in Streamlabs, and add it to OBS Studio as a browser source.

Prepare SpellChat

Download SpellChat and extract the package to a folder on your computer. Open the included setup flow to continue in Streamlabs.

Create and customize the theme

Choose Create a new widget theme, name it, and select Use.
In Custom Fields, adjust the colors, font, and other appearance settings.
Save the settings and copy the widget URL shown on the page.

Add SpellChat to OBS Studio

In OBS Studio, open the target scene and add a Browser source from the Sources panel. Paste the widget URL, configure the source size as needed, and confirm. The chat only displays messages when viewers are actively sending them.
